An organization is the top-level container in Surnex. Everything else belongs to one:
  • Projects and all their collected data — rankings, backlinks, audits, AI visibility
  • Members and their roles
  • The subscription, plan limits, and invoices
  • API keys for the REST API
Nothing is shared between organizations. A project in one organization is invisible from another, even to the same person, and plan limits are counted per organization — not per account.

Your organization in the URL

Every dashboard URL is scoped by organization ID:
That means a URL you copy is organization-specific. A teammate who isn’t a member of that organization can’t open it.

Belonging to more than one

You can be a member of several organizations — typical for agencies, or for a consultant who’s been added to a client’s account. Switch between them with the organization switcher at the top of the sidebar. Switching changes the {orgId} in the URL and reloads the projects, team, and billing for the organization you moved to. Your role can differ per organization. You might be the owner of your own and a member of a client’s.

What’s stored at organization level

Search locale — location and language — is not an organization setting. It’s set per project, because different projects usually target different markets. See Project settings.

Plans

An organization with no active subscription is treated as free, with the free plan’s limits. Subscriptions are per organization, so a second organization is a second subscription. See Plans.
