# Your profile

> Update your display name and see your account details.

**Settings → Profile** covers your personal account — the one that spans every organization you belong to, unlike organization settings which apply to one.

## What's here

**Avatar** — your profile picture, or your initials if you don't have one. Shown next to your name on the [Team](/organizations/team) page.

**Full name** — the only editable field. Click it to switch into edit mode, type the new name, then **Save** or **Cancel**. A confirmation reads *"Profile updated"*.

Your name is what teammates see in the members list. If it's blank, they see your email address instead — worth setting if you share an organization with anyone.

**Email** — read-only. This is your sign-in address and the one an admin must use to [add you to an organization](/organizations/team). It can't be changed here.

**Member since** — when your account was created.

## Personal vs. organization

Easy to conflate, so:

Changing your name updates it in every organization you belong to at once.
